OUR MISSION

The mission of The Dragon Touchdown Club is to support, enhance, and highlight the game of football in the Southlake community. Established in 2022 as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, the organization is made up of like-minded individuals, families, businesses, and organizations who are united in the belief that Dragon football is special and a significant element of what makes Southlake unique. Acting in unison, our supporters are committed to perpetuating the game and the sense of community it provides.

We strive to strengthen the sense of community amongst all stakeholders in Dragon Football and to provide a platform through which the game continues to be seen as a central element of the unique Southlake culture. One sport. One town. One effort.

Football is a sport that increasingly requires significant financial resources. We strive to raise and provide financial resources to support the game – from Dragon Youth Football to Dragon Varsity Football and all levels in between — in general and with a specific focus on supporting capital projects that are not normally funded by existing funding sources.

The bond developed through Dragon Football can last a lifetime and transcend generations. It is our goal to foster a network that perpetuates this bond into the future and brings together fans and supporters of Dragon Football from all eras.

While the game of football stays consistent, the environment in which it is played changes constantly. We strive to maintain a nimble and dynamic non-profit mechanism through which our supporters and community can assure the health of the game going forward in our community regardless of the changes in the operating environment.

PROTECTING THE TRADITION

The Dragon Touchdown Club strives to include all the constituencies in our community who have a stake in the game, including but not limited to Dragon Youth Football, Dragon Alumni, Breakfast Club, CISD, the City of Southlake, Carroll Athletic Booster Club, businesses, fans and other interested parties. The organization’s board of directors is structured to reflect these various stakeholders and the organizations they represent.
